The invitation

Be part of India’s
enterprise story.

A Landmark WCRC Book, National Media & Recognition Initiative.

WCRC is curating a distinguished group of Indian Nation Builders through research-led selection to feature in THE NATION BUILDERS™ — The Leaders Building Modern India, a premium, globally distributed book documenting both the leaders and the enterprises they have built.

The initiative brings their stories before the media through a dedicated national press conference, followed by a grand book launch and individual recognition ceremony in New Delhi, with ministers, celebrated personalities, corporate leaders and senior media representatives invited to participate.

Supported by an integrated marketing campaign and NEWS9 editorial features in selected participation formats, the programme is designed to strengthen corporate reputation, leadership visibility and stakeholder goodwill while preserving each leader’s journey for generations.

Your story deserves to be documented.
Your enterprise deserves to be understood.
Your contribution deserves to be recognised.

01 / The book

The people and
enterprises
building India.

Every great enterprise begins with a person.

An idea, a conviction and a decision to begin. Then come the risks, setbacks, sacrifices and breakthroughs that transform ambition into an organisation.

THE NATION BUILDERS™ documents that complete journey.

Each selected leader receives a dedicated, professionally researched, written and designed chapter covering:

  • The person: early life, influences, education and formative experiences.
  • The idea: the opportunity or conviction that inspired the business.
  • The beginning: first customers, investments, employees and defining decisions.
  • The struggle: challenges, setbacks, sacrifices and lessons.
  • The breakthrough: the moments that changed the enterprise’s direction.
  • The company: its evolution, products, services, people, markets and achievements.
  • The contribution: employment, innovation, industry development and wider impact.
  • The future: the leader’s vision, company ambitions and enduring legacy.

The company is integral to the story. Its brands, capabilities, culture and growth are explored alongside the individual whose leadership shaped them.

This is a substantial hardbound business and leadership publication—not an awards directory.

Their companies tell us what they achieved.
THE NATION BUILDERS™ tells us how they did it.

Why this book needs to exist

Behind India’s growth
are people who build.

India’s economic transformation is usually described through statistics—growth, investment, exports, employment, innovation and market value.

Behind those numbers are individuals.

They have created businesses, built factories, developed technologies, established brands, generated employment, transformed industries and taken Indian enterprise into international markets.

Their contribution extends beyond their individual companies. Collectively, they are helping shape the economic and entrepreneurial story of modern India.

THE NATION BUILDERS™ will preserve these journeys as part of India’s contemporary business history and introduce them to future entrepreneurs, employees, institutions, business communities and generations of families.

02 / Launch Strategy

A book brought to life
on a national stage.

THE NATION BUILDERS™ will be introduced through a connected launch programme designed to move each story from the page into the national business and media conversation.

India Gate in New Delhi at sunset
New Delhi · The national launch city. India Gate shown for location context, not as the event venue.

The launch unfolds in two connected moments. It begins with a dedicated national press conference, presenting the leaders and their company-building stories to invited national, regional, business and television media, supported by nationwide editorial outreach.

It then moves to the Grand Nation Builders Book Launch & Recognition Ceremony: a formal unveiling of the publication, individual recognition of every featured leader, leadership conversations, professional event content and a hosted gathering of invited stakeholders.

Together, these moments introduce the book, explain why the featured journeys matter, and create substantive material that can carry the initiative beyond the occasion.

Why New Delhi

A national setting
for a national story.

New Delhi is the chosen launch city because THE NATION BUILDERS™ is a story about enterprise as part of India’s wider development.

As the nation’s capital, New Delhi creates a relevant meeting point for business, public institutions, diplomacy, national media, industry organisations and leaders from across India. It allows the launch to place entrepreneurship, employment, innovation, exports and enterprise-building within a larger national conversation.

New Delhi is therefore the setting for the launch—not the subject of the initiative. The focus remains firmly on the featured leaders, the enterprises they have built and the contribution their journeys represent.

The venue, date and guest lineup will be announced following confirmation.

First / The national press conference

Introducing the leaders.
Bringing their stories
to the media.

The public launch journey begins with a dedicated press conference featuring the participating leaders and their enterprises.

WCRC will invite national, regional, business, television, print and digital media to discover the stories behind the book: the beginnings, defining decisions and contributions of the individuals helping build modern India.

The press conference will bring together:

  • A formal introduction to THE NATION BUILDERS™ and its purpose.
  • Presentation of the featured leaders and their companies.
  • Moderated conversations exploring enterprise-building journeys.
  • Media questions and interaction with participating leaders.
  • Opportunities for individual interviews, subject to journalist interest and scheduling.
  • Professional photography and recorded highlights.
  • A media information pack containing leader biographies, company background, story summaries and approved photographs.

A nationwide media-outreach programme

The press conference will be supported by outreach to relevant media across India, extending beyond journalists attending in person.

WCRC will circulate the initiative announcement, leader-and-company story material and event content to national, regional and industry publications. Story pitches will connect each enterprise’s journey with relevant themes such as innovation, manufacturing, employment, exports, family-business transformation and entrepreneurship.

The objective is to give journalists substantive leader and company stories to cover—not simply announce an event.

Independent media outlets retain control over whether, when and how they publish. Specific coverage, interviews or audience reach are not guaranteed.

Then / The grand launch & recognition

A national stage
for the leaders
building modern India.

Following the press conference, the initiative will culminate in a grand book launch and recognition ceremony in New Delhi.

The occasion will bring the publication to life by presenting the people whose journeys fill its pages before a distinguished gathering of business, public-life, cultural and media personalities.

The ceremonial book unveiling

The programme envisages the formal unveiling of THE NATION BUILDERS™ by invited ministers, prominent celebrities and distinguished business personalities, alongside WCRC and the featured leaders.

The unveiling will celebrate the collective contribution of Indian enterprise builders and introduce the book to the wider business community.

Individual recognition for every featured leader

Each featured, research-qualified leader will be individually recognised on stage.

Their presentation will connect the recognition to their documented achievements and the enterprise they have built, including:

  • An introduction to the leader and company.
  • An individual citation reflecting their contribution.
  • Presentation of the WCRC Nation Builders recognition.
  • An official stage photograph with the presenting dignitary.
  • Inclusion in the event’s professional photographic and video record.

Every leader has an individual story. Every recognition will reflect it.

A distinguished delegate gathering

The invitation programme will extend to:

  • Ministers and public representatives.
  • Senior corporate leaders, founders and industrialists.
  • Prominent personalities from cinema, culture and public life.
  • Investors, financial-sector leaders and family offices.
  • Diplomats and international business representatives.
  • Industry associations, chambers and trade organisations.
  • Senior editors, journalists and media representatives.
  • Featured leaders, their accompanying guests and invited stakeholders.

The programme will combine the book unveiling, recognition ceremony, selected leadership conversations, media interaction and a hosted networking reception.

New Delhi is the host city. The venue, date and guest lineup will be announced following confirmation. Invitations do not constitute confirmed attendance; named ministers, celebrities and other dignitaries will be publicised only after acceptance.

03 / The editorial television story

The leader and
company, brought
to life.

NEWS9 Editorial storytelling

Selected participation formats extend the book’s storytelling through a six-minute or twelve-minute NEWS9 editorial feature, subject to the agreed editorial, production and broadcast framework.

The feature explores both the person and the enterprise:

  • What inspired the leader.
  • How the company began.
  • What tested the business.
  • Which decisions created its breakthrough.
  • What the organisation delivers today.
  • Where the leader intends to take it next.

Company visuals, products, workplaces, historical photographs and business milestones can support the narrative where appropriate.

The proposed treatment is editorial storytelling rather than a conventional advertising spot. The broadcaster retains editorial control, with presentation and any required disclosures governed by the agreed framework.

The book preserves the journey. Television lets audiences hear it in the leader’s own voice.

04 / Global distribution

Launched in India.
Distributed to
the world.

The India launch is the beginning of the book’s public life.

The publication’s distribution programme combines online availability with curated institutional circulation in India and selected international markets, subject to final publishing and distribution arrangements.

Intended recipients include:

  • Relevant government and public institutions.
  • Embassies, High Commissions and diplomatic missions.
  • Corporate chairpersons, CEOs and leadership offices.
  • Chambers of commerce and industry associations.
  • Trade, investment and bilateral business organisations.
  • Investors, private-equity firms and family offices.
  • Banks and financial institutions.
  • Business schools, universities and entrepreneurship centres.
  • Business editors, commentators and international networks.

Institutional circulation is intended to place the book before relevant audiences; it does not imply endorsement, readership or commercial access.

Participant copies will also allow leaders to share the publication with their families, organisations and selected associates.

05 / One connected marketing campaign

Before the launch.
Across the events.
Beyond the occasion.

Every participation format includes the core Nation Builders marketing programme.

01

Before the launch

Initiative announcements, leader-and-company introductions, media invitations, story preparation and press-conference outreach.

02

Across the two events

Press-conference communications, book-unveiling content, individual recognition photography and coverage through WCRC’s channels.

03

After the launch

Post-event communications, continued story outreach, institutional circulation and promotion of book availability. NEWS9 feature promotion applies where television is included.

The campaign keeps the leader and company connected throughout the journey—from introduction to publication and recognition.

06 / Your benefits

What you and your
company gain.

For investors and partners, the story provides context around leadership, resilience and ambition. For customers, it explains the people and principles behind the company. For employees, it preserves institutional history and creates an occasion for shared pride.

For the leader’s family and future generations, it records something that financial statements cannot: how it all began, what it took and why it mattered.

These are reputation, communication and relationship-building benefits—not guarantees of investment, contracts, sales or revenue.

Personal legacy & corporate reputation

Value that reaches
your stakeholders.

How the leader benefits

  • A professionally documented account of their life and enterprise-building journey.
  • Greater context around their leadership, vision, resilience and contribution.
  • National positioning through the New Delhi launch and international discoverability through the book.
  • Editorial and media visibility through the applicable programme activities.
  • Recognition of the individual behind the enterprise.
  • A permanent record for family and future generations.
  • A legacy asset that remains long after the launch and ceremony.

How the company benefits

The company gains a professionally developed narrative explaining where it came from, why it exists, how it grew, what it overcame, what it has contributed and where it is going.

This can strengthen:

  • Corporate reputation and stakeholder goodwill.
  • Investor understanding of the leadership behind the business.
  • Customer and partner familiarity.
  • Employee pride and organisational belonging.
  • Talent attraction and leadership positioning.
  • Institutional and industry credibility.
  • International business visibility.
  • The company’s historical and legacy narrative.
  • Next-generation understanding in family-led enterprises.

Investors will continue to evaluate financial and operational fundamentals. Customers will continue to evaluate products and performance. Partners will continue to conduct their own due diligence.

A credible account of leadership, resilience, values and long-term ambition provides an important dimension that conventional corporate communication frequently fails to capture.

One integrated reputation and legacy platform

The initiative brings together leadership research and interviewing, editorial writing and fact review, company and founder storytelling, book design and production, publishing and distribution, institutional circulation, marketing and communication, television production where included, the New Delhi launch and recognition, professional photography and event content, and participant coordination.

The leader, the enterprise and the journey that built it.

07 / The selection principle

Curated through
research. Defined
by contribution.

WCRC’s selection considers the substance of the leader’s journey, the credibility of the enterprise, business achievement, contribution and reputation.

The initiative is curated around stories worthy of documentation. It is not designed around an unlimited number of generic recognition categories.

WCRC considers business achievements and company-building contribution; industry, economic, employment or social impact; leadership reputation and values; the quality and relevance of the story; and the leader’s contribution to modern India.

Research conclusions, qualification and recognition remain independent of commercial participation. Participation does not purchase or influence those decisions.

Commercial participation supports the professional production, publication, distribution, marketing, television where included, launch and recognition experience. Final participation remains subject to research qualification, editorial acceptance and completion of the required documentation and production process.

“Whose story deserves to become part of India’s enterprise history?”
